Our Rankings & Reviews of the 10 Best Keto Snacks of 2021!

We all know by now the benefits of going Keto! The Keto diet has become one of the most popular diets in recent years, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a high fat, moderate protein, and low carb eating approach that will leave you feeling healthier, improve your energy levels, and help you lose weight.

We’ve spent the past few months tasting and analyzing the top keto snacks of 2021 that you can buy on the internet. Read on to see which ones made the cut!

#1 Schoolyard Snacks

Our reviewers were all big Cocoa Puffs eaters growing up, and we thought this Keto cereal from Schoolyard Snacks really hit the spot without the crazy sugar rush (we don’t even want to know how many carbs are in regular cereal). We found that mixing the Cocoa cereal with their Peanut Butter cereal together tasted almost like a Reeses Cup. Some of us tried with unsweetened almond milk (zero net carbs) and others just snacked on this cereal dry. We agreed that it tasted good both ways and was just up to personal preference. Schoolyard Snacks also sells Keto cheese puffs in a few flavors that we can’t wait to try. Only issue is they are a small company so they’re constantly selling out, and some of our reviewers couldn’t get a hold of them for several weeks.

#2 Fat Snax

Nothing can beat a homemade brownie, but Fat Snax does a pretty good job! Our reviewers liked the ingredients list and that these were pretty moist and fudgy. However, across the board everyone agreed that the bites were way too small. Each bite is literally the size of a quarter, which isn’t exactly a great deal considering some of our reviewers had to have 3-4 bites to feel like it made a difference for their cravings.

#3 Quest Bar

We didn’t know why there are so many mixed reviews out there on Quest Bars, so we had to try them out for ourselves. The Blueberry Muffin flavor we tried is actually pretty good. They’re definitely better heated up in the microwave (great hack, thank us later!). The one thing our reviewers consistently didn’t love about them is the texture…they have this VERY dense sticky nougat candy bar type of texture that sticks to your teeth. We know that might be a deal breaker for some of you.

#4 HighKey Snacks

This company has a LOT of products, it’s almost as if they’re trying to do a little something for everyone. They offer a whole lot of snacks including cookies, crackers, cereal, caramel clusters, as well as baking products. While some people love their stuff, we find that their lack of focus is transparent. Our editorial team found that the cereal didn’t taste good at all – the contents were very bright in color but looked fake like cat food and had a strange chemical taste. Their cookies were sandy with a slightly bitter after taste (probably from the erythritol they use) and their caramel clusters too sticky. We did however enjoy their crackers, and that is what is saving them and getting them a passing grade!

#5 Catalina Crunch

We tried the fruity cereal and sandwich cookies from Catalina Crunch.Their cookies are decent and are reminiscent of Oreo cookies both in how they look and how they taste. One of our reviewers said they got indigestion out of it but most people were okay and liked the taste. However, their cereals are not up to snuff. They don’t absorb milk and have a distinct pea protein aftertaste. Our reviewers thought that they also have a very strong erythritol or sucralose taste, but upon checking the label, none of these ingredients are present. So we’re not sure what is going on there. The texture of the cereal is actually nice, but the cereal is expensive for how much product is inside. That being said, the cookies almost deserve a mark of their own because they are almost a different quality caliber than the cereal. For the high reviews this company had, we were definitely expecting better.

#6 Whisps

Whisps makes cheddar crisps made just from cheese. Our reviewers thought they were okay for baked cheese, but nothing special. Some complained that they were too salty and that the packs were too small. The bigger issue was that several reviewers complained that the bags arrived totally crushed and the company wouldn’t refund them. For those of you too busy, maybe give them a try. Otherwise you may as well make these in your kitchen and avoid the hassle.

#7 Slimfast

You probably know Slimfast as one of those 90s diet companies, but did you know that they recently got into the Keto game? They mostly sell shakes and bars, but what caught our eye was their Keto Fat Bomb Snack Cups. We were big Reese’s fans in our pre-Keto days, so obviously we had to include a peanut butter cup on this list. While these aren’t an exact replica, they’re 70% of the way there, and that’s not too bad for a Keto treat. We will say for those of you who don’t like the bitter/artificial taste of stevia, you should skip these.

#8 Wonderworks

Wonderworks may seem like a small company but is actually owned by General Mills and sells only Keto cereals with 3 flavors. We didn’t like it, and the kids didn’t like it either. The problem with these cereals is that they’re almost good, but they taste like coconut and cinnamon flavoring over cardboard instead of the real thing. The texture is ok and they absorb milk fine. Wonderworks got the crunch down, but what was interesting there is that some of our reviewers said milk made it better while others said that it was absolutely horrible with milk. They get a better grade than some others who made the list.

#9 Snack House

SnackHouse carries a lot of products, but they focus mostly on puffs (with many flavors) and cereals. We tried their cereals as we couldn’t get our hands on puffs by the time of publication and sadly they totally missed the mark and had a strong fake sugar taste. One of our team members said that the cereal tasted like medicine and was very unpleasant. They tried again one week later and mixed some pieces with their Apple Jacks to try to mask the taste, and even that didn’t help. Other team members complained about the texture and the fact that it was very hard to chew and very very hard even after adding milk.

#10 Perfect Keto

Here’s another company which is a giant in this space and tries to do a little too much. They sell bars, cookies, cake mix, peanut butter, books and so on. They are one of the bigger companies in the space and it shows with their very slick marketing and the influencers that endorse them. We tried their bars with collagen and some of their other products and weren’t overly impressed. The bars felt extremely oily and chalky and the $36 package doesn’t get you all that much. The flavors tasted quite artificial (we tried 5 different ones) and the texture was really weird. Their popularity might be due more to marketing than the quality of their products.
